1

00:00:28,845 --> 00:00:29,625

Welcome back.

2

00:00:29,625 --> 00:00:31,425

I'm certainly glad you

could join us today.

3

00:00:31,994 --> 00:00:34,665

Today is the last show of the 31st series.

4

00:00:35,175 --> 00:00:37,695

So let's start out and have him

run all the colors across the

5

00:00:37,695 --> 00:00:40,335

screen that you need to paint along

with us while they're doing that.

6

00:00:40,515 --> 00:00:43,185

Let me show you what I've got done today.

7

00:00:43,245 --> 00:00:47,565

I've taken my standard old canvas and

I use an 18 by 24 inch, but you use

8

00:00:47,565 --> 00:00:52,785

whatever size is convenient and I've

taken a little black and gray Jesso in a

9

00:00:52,785 --> 00:00:55,545

foam brush, just a disposable foam brush.

10

00:00:55,905 --> 00:00:57,974

And I've just sort of painted

in a little scene here.

11

00:00:58,870 --> 00:01:00,280

To make these little effects.

12

00:01:00,370 --> 00:01:02,920

I just took a natural sponge.

13

00:01:03,270 --> 00:01:05,850

And just dobbed a little bit,

that's all there is to it.

14

00:01:06,510 --> 00:01:07,740

Let that dry completely.

15

00:01:07,800 --> 00:01:12,480

And then we've covered the entire canvas

with a very thin coat of liquid clear.

16

00:01:12,630 --> 00:01:14,190

So it's all wet and ready to go.

17

00:01:14,940 --> 00:01:19,500

And I'll show you a nice way of making

a, just a gorgeous little painting.

18

00:01:19,530 --> 00:01:20,370

That's very simple.

19

00:01:20,970 --> 00:01:21,870

Let's start out today.

20

00:01:22,350 --> 00:01:25,410

I'm going to just start with a

small amount of the Indian, yellow.

21

00:01:25,710 --> 00:01:30,810

Don't need much, just a little on

the two inch brush and then yellow

22

00:01:30,810 --> 00:01:34,800

is very transparent, so we can

just paint right over everything.

23

00:01:34,830 --> 00:01:35,340

It doesn't matter.

24

00:01:36,370 --> 00:01:37,020

Doesn't matter.

25

00:01:38,430 --> 00:01:39,300

Just let it go.

26

00:01:39,300 --> 00:01:41,700

Like something there like that.

27

00:01:42,000 --> 00:01:42,690

That's off.

28

00:01:43,590 --> 00:01:44,070

Maybe.

29

00:01:45,179 --> 00:01:47,220

A little touch of yellow

ochre, right above it.

30

00:01:49,289 --> 00:01:51,000

Just to change the flavor a little bit.

31

00:01:53,130 --> 00:02:00,240

And then I'll go into a little bit

of the bright red you decide what

32

00:02:00,539 --> 00:02:03,960

colors you want to use, how strongly

you want it to be for whole week.

33

00:02:04,215 --> 00:02:06,554

It's up to you up to you.

34

00:02:07,545 --> 00:02:10,935

There is something about like that.

35

00:02:10,965 --> 00:02:19,725

Maybe my touch of a lizard in Crimson,

like there, but just let it go.

36

00:02:20,265 --> 00:02:22,605

And we're just making little,

little crisscross drugs.

37

00:02:22,605 --> 00:02:23,295

Very easy.

38

00:02:25,595 --> 00:02:26,115

Okay.

39

00:02:27,435 --> 00:02:29,085

Once again, all these colors we're using.

40

00:02:29,684 --> 00:02:32,864

Are transparent enough that you can

still see the GSO right through them.

41

00:02:32,924 --> 00:02:33,765

It's no big deal.

42

00:02:33,915 --> 00:02:34,934

You're not going to hurt a thing.

43

00:02:35,774 --> 00:02:37,065

Just paint right over anything.

44

00:02:37,065 --> 00:02:41,535

It's in your way saying already we

have a pretty nice looking little sky.

45

00:02:42,515 --> 00:02:42,815

Okay.

46

00:02:42,845 --> 00:02:45,635

I want to mix up, uh, what

take some fellow blue.

47

00:02:46,215 --> 00:02:51,855

Crimson they little blue and crimps

I'll make a little lavender color, but

48

00:02:51,855 --> 00:02:53,595

I want this to be to the Crimson side.

49

00:02:53,595 --> 00:03:00,045

So I've put many times more Crimson

in it in blue there, the blue is

50

00:03:00,555 --> 00:03:02,595

much, much stronger than Crimson.

51

00:03:02,925 --> 00:03:03,285

Okay.

52

00:03:04,905 --> 00:03:09,455

Yeah, let's take a little

bit of that color shoe really

53

00:03:09,495 --> 00:03:10,695

had to wash the brush yet.

54

00:03:11,550 --> 00:03:14,520

It would go right up in here and let's

just fill in the rest of the sky.

55

00:03:15,510 --> 00:03:16,680

Something about like that.

56

00:03:18,240 --> 00:03:22,620

This is just a lavender color,

very pretty we're painting.

57

00:03:22,620 --> 00:03:24,150

Right over liquid clear.

58

00:03:25,860 --> 00:03:26,580

There we are.

59

00:03:26,880 --> 00:03:29,280

Be sure your brush is dry

and free of paint thinner.

60

00:03:29,310 --> 00:03:33,330

When you're doing this liquid clear in

paint thinner, have a violent reaction.

61

00:03:34,260 --> 00:03:35,610

So you don't want to put them together.

62

00:03:35,975 --> 00:03:39,095

Be sure your brushes as dry

as you can possibly get it.

63

00:03:41,195 --> 00:03:41,735

Okay.

64

00:03:41,765 --> 00:03:43,055

Maybe just a touch more of that.

65

00:03:43,055 --> 00:03:45,575

I like it there.

66

00:03:47,955 --> 00:03:48,845

Okay.

67

00:03:49,655 --> 00:03:50,855

That is a beautiful color.

68

00:03:50,885 --> 00:03:51,665

I like lavender.

69

00:03:51,990 --> 00:03:52,330

I did.

70

00:03:52,330 --> 00:03:54,720

I really like lavender purple,

whatever you want to call it.

71

00:03:56,130 --> 00:03:56,910

Blue and Crimson.

72

00:03:56,940 --> 00:03:57,690

That's what it is.

73

00:04:01,560 --> 00:04:02,940

Time to wash the old brush.

74

00:04:03,540 --> 00:04:04,920

And that's the part that's most funny.

75

00:04:06,540 --> 00:04:06,930

Okay.

76

00:04:08,670 --> 00:04:10,740

Scrubbed the old brush and

odorless paint thinner.

77

00:04:12,710 --> 00:04:14,390

And we'll take and shake off the excess

78

00:04:17,390 --> 00:04:18,130

and beat the devil.

79

00:04:19,430 --> 00:04:19,790

Okay.

80

00:04:19,969 --> 00:04:20,659

Let's have some fun.

81

00:04:21,380 --> 00:04:23,690

Let's take a little bit of titanium white.

82

00:04:23,690 --> 00:04:26,480

I'm just going to tap a little

Ray onto one corner of the brush.

83

00:04:26,510 --> 00:04:27,380

That's all there is to it.

84

00:04:27,380 --> 00:04:29,719

Just tap a little and let's go up in here.

85

00:04:30,650 --> 00:04:30,740

Okay.

86

00:04:31,875 --> 00:04:36,125

I'm going to start right at the edge of

this mountain with that titanium point

87

00:04:36,815 --> 00:04:38,615

and begin working up in a titanium point.

88

00:04:38,645 --> 00:04:40,534

It is very opaque.

89

00:04:40,775 --> 00:04:47,825

It's very opaque, but when you have

it, this thin it's thin enough to still

90

00:04:47,825 --> 00:04:49,085

let a little bit of that show through.

91

00:04:50,375 --> 00:04:53,825

They're saying we can pull it like

there's a sun rays coming through.

92

00:04:55,395 --> 00:04:58,755

There we are just like this.

93

00:04:58,845 --> 00:05:02,405

It just gives the impression that there's

a beautiful glow going on back here.

94

00:05:03,515 --> 00:05:04,115

Okay.

95

00:05:04,115 --> 00:05:08,135

Wash the old brush off,

get a good and dry.

96

00:05:10,955 --> 00:05:11,615

Now then.

97

00:05:14,100 --> 00:05:15,570

Let's have some fun down here.

98

00:05:16,230 --> 00:05:17,730

That's about all I'm

going to do for the sky.

99

00:05:17,760 --> 00:05:24,060

I want this to look like it's

just bathe in light and it'll

100

00:05:24,060 --> 00:05:25,650

give that impression that easy.

101

00:05:27,010 --> 00:05:27,630

Okay.

102

00:05:27,820 --> 00:05:28,170

Got it.

103

00:05:29,460 --> 00:05:30,180

Down in here.

104

00:05:30,470 --> 00:05:31,770

Got to decide what we're going to do.

105

00:05:32,530 --> 00:05:33,810

We got some that lavender color.

106

00:05:33,810 --> 00:05:36,540

That's sort of pretty, let's

just cover some of this.

107

00:05:38,520 --> 00:05:39,480

It's just covered.

108

00:05:40,790 --> 00:05:41,730

A little bit of that down there.

109

00:05:41,730 --> 00:05:46,170

So we have a base color and we'll

stop it right along in there.

110

00:05:46,170 --> 00:05:47,790

We don't want that to get up into the sky.

111

00:05:49,710 --> 00:05:50,550

Just put that on there.

112

00:05:50,550 --> 00:05:53,190

That, so when we, when we put

highlights on all this, it'll

113

00:05:53,190 --> 00:05:54,420

pick up some of that color.

114

00:05:55,890 --> 00:05:57,090

I need to mix up a little more.

115

00:05:57,120 --> 00:06:01,290

I didn't make enough the little

blue and the lizard Crimson,

116

00:06:02,880 --> 00:06:03,840

then that's all there is to it.

117

00:06:03,840 --> 00:06:06,360

Just, just mix it up.

118

00:06:06,390 --> 00:06:08,730

It didn't have to be

well-mixed good enough.

119

00:06:10,620 --> 00:06:11,400

Good enough.

120

00:06:13,050 --> 00:06:15,960

Now there's a couple

of big old trees here.

121

00:06:15,960 --> 00:06:21,030

We can go ahead and sort of block those

and see the basic shapes already there.

122

00:06:21,030 --> 00:06:25,650

It takes very little color, just enough

to, to create some little arms on it.

123

00:06:27,180 --> 00:06:27,930

And that's all you need.

124

00:06:28,860 --> 00:06:30,210

Hey, we better not leave him out.

125

00:06:30,240 --> 00:06:31,050

He'd get upset.

126

00:06:32,130 --> 00:06:32,880

There we go.

127

00:06:34,440 --> 00:06:35,640

Something about my kid.

128

00:06:37,290 --> 00:06:37,890

All right.

129

00:06:40,530 --> 00:06:45,240

Now we got all of that blocked in all

of it's covered with a little bit of

130

00:06:45,240 --> 00:06:49,800

lavender and we're ready to go have

to start making big decisions now.

131

00:06:56,785 --> 00:06:58,255

I'm gonna grab another old two inch brush.

132

00:06:58,285 --> 00:06:59,545

I have several of them going here.

133

00:07:00,715 --> 00:07:09,085

Let's take a little sip green, a little

of the yellow, little yellow ochre.

134

00:07:09,565 --> 00:07:13,855

All those yellows mixed together

with a little SAP green there.

135

00:07:13,855 --> 00:07:15,835

We'll just make all kinds

of beautiful colors.

136

00:07:15,925 --> 00:07:17,095

Mix them on the brush though.

137

00:07:18,505 --> 00:07:22,975

Tap, push, give it a little push

kinescope in here that back in,

138

00:07:23,125 --> 00:07:25,375

back in here, we want to start.

139

00:07:26,100 --> 00:07:26,550

Yeah.

140

00:07:27,360 --> 00:07:29,130

And you could do this with

a one inch brush, if you

141

00:07:29,130 --> 00:07:33,630

would like can do easy there.

142

00:07:33,690 --> 00:07:37,020

See, I just want to start putting

the impression of all kinds of little

143

00:07:37,020 --> 00:07:38,610

duties that are happening around there.

144

00:07:40,050 --> 00:07:43,950

Just change the flavor a little

bit overnight, and then your

145

00:07:43,950 --> 00:07:46,000

dark's already there, so you

don't have to worry about it.

146

00:07:47,400 --> 00:07:48,510

You don't have to worry about it.

147

00:07:48,510 --> 00:07:50,010

There's a little treat

lives back in there.

148

00:07:50,280 --> 00:07:51,270

These are far away.

149

00:07:51,510 --> 00:07:54,659

It's just little soft trees that

live back in their little red area.

150

00:07:54,740 --> 00:08:00,919

No, no, there, see, it gives it

sort of a, sort of an autumn feel.

151

00:08:02,719 --> 00:08:03,440

All right.

152

00:08:03,740 --> 00:08:05,780

Maybe over here lives another one.

153

00:08:05,810 --> 00:08:07,310

Well, there's one, that's really red.

154

00:08:08,419 --> 00:08:09,710

It's bright red that's okay.

155

00:08:10,190 --> 00:08:14,630

So K in our world, we can have any

color we want because we are the boss.

156

00:08:14,870 --> 00:08:15,590

We can do it all.

157

00:08:17,085 --> 00:08:22,805

All right now, then let's start

figuring out what's happening down here.

158

00:08:24,575 --> 00:08:27,604

Just take touch and begin tapping.

159

00:08:28,505 --> 00:08:29,854

Just begin tapping.

160

00:08:31,115 --> 00:08:34,385

It's picking up that color that we

put on the canvas underneath there.

161

00:08:35,765 --> 00:08:36,784

And the more you tap it.

162

00:08:37,380 --> 00:08:40,470

The mortal it'll pick it up

in that color will just get

163

00:08:40,470 --> 00:08:42,179

darker and darker automatically.

164

00:08:42,330 --> 00:08:45,000

So you have to make the big

decision how dark you want it to be.

165

00:08:46,920 --> 00:08:50,610

I'm just varying some of the

colors when I go away putting on

166

00:08:50,610 --> 00:08:52,410

a little bit of the yellows in.

167

00:08:53,505 --> 00:08:59,205

The greens, but think about the lay

of the land, the way the land flows.

168

00:08:59,625 --> 00:09:01,965

I want the land to look

like it's coming like that.

169

00:09:03,315 --> 00:09:04,335

So that's what we'll do.

170

00:09:06,105 --> 00:09:09,555

And if you have trouble making it stick at

a little bit of paint thinner before you

171

00:09:09,555 --> 00:09:12,615

go through the paint to load your brush.

172

00:09:13,335 --> 00:09:14,865

Let me repeat one word in there though.

173

00:09:14,925 --> 00:09:20,655

Little bit takes very, very

little don't put much in there.

174

00:09:21,595 --> 00:09:25,035

Little goes a long, long

way, long, long way.

175

00:09:26,055 --> 00:09:26,415

Okay.

176

00:09:26,925 --> 00:09:28,095

Well, I'm looking at there.

177

00:09:28,155 --> 00:09:31,755

Look at there and that

leap, you can do this.

178

00:09:31,935 --> 00:09:37,815

You really truly can do it a

little practice off you go shoot.

179

00:09:38,685 --> 00:09:42,705

Now they already have a lot

of depth, a lot of depth.

180

00:09:43,245 --> 00:09:43,905

I know what I'm on.

181

00:09:44,205 --> 00:09:44,655

Let me show you.

182

00:09:44,715 --> 00:09:45,135

Let me show you.

183

00:09:45,195 --> 00:09:45,585

I'm sorry.

184

00:09:45,585 --> 00:09:46,305

I get excited.

185

00:09:46,305 --> 00:09:49,395

Sometimes I wanna pull this tree down.

186

00:09:50,820 --> 00:09:55,560

Now you saying Bobby really cracked up

now, but watch, I know it's hard to see

187

00:09:55,560 --> 00:10:00,240

against all that dark, but I've decided

that tree should be in the foreground.

188

00:10:01,170 --> 00:10:03,780

We had him in the background

and we moved him because in

189

00:10:03,780 --> 00:10:06,120

our world we could move trees.

190

00:10:06,120 --> 00:10:11,850

We can bend rivers, anything

that we want to do there.

191

00:10:12,420 --> 00:10:16,350

I see all kinds of little doodles.

192

00:10:16,800 --> 00:10:17,820

I didn't paint over here.

193

00:10:18,105 --> 00:10:21,495

Very well, so we'll just put a tree

there to sort of fill that hole up.

194

00:10:22,845 --> 00:10:24,105

Trees are wonderful for that.

195

00:10:25,574 --> 00:10:26,265

There we go.

196

00:10:28,095 --> 00:10:29,655

It looks like a little

meadow back here now.

197

00:10:31,125 --> 00:10:31,755

Okay.

198

00:10:32,954 --> 00:10:37,035

Just let your imagination take you

to any land that you want to live in.

199

00:10:37,875 --> 00:10:39,225

Any place that you want to go.

200

00:10:41,055 --> 00:10:44,415

All right, shoot.

201

00:10:44,415 --> 00:10:45,645

That's looking pretty good there.

202

00:10:47,040 --> 00:10:47,939

Let's take our little script.

203

00:10:47,939 --> 00:10:52,590

Lander brush, take a

little Brown, little Brown.

204

00:10:52,800 --> 00:10:54,120

Let me put a little white over there too.

205

00:10:55,680 --> 00:10:57,480

Now we've got a little

Brown, little white.

206

00:10:59,760 --> 00:11:03,420

I want to make a very

thin, thin paint here.

207

00:11:04,860 --> 00:11:05,490

Very thin.

208

00:11:05,880 --> 00:11:06,100

Hmm.

209

00:11:06,100 --> 00:11:06,480

Okay.

210

00:11:06,510 --> 00:11:06,930

Maybe I'll leave.

211

00:11:06,959 --> 00:11:09,120

Put a little black to gray it.

212

00:11:09,840 --> 00:11:10,829

Oh, that's perfect.

213

00:11:11,130 --> 00:11:14,189

King scope in here now in our world.

214

00:11:15,615 --> 00:11:17,595

There's an old tree trunk in there.

215

00:11:19,275 --> 00:11:21,165

Now, if your hands a little

nervous and you got a little

216

00:11:21,165 --> 00:11:23,895

shake, this is a time to use it.

217

00:11:24,765 --> 00:11:28,335

That way you don't end up with just

a plain old trunk and your tree.

218

00:11:28,905 --> 00:11:33,194

That's something, there has got some,

some interest to it, and then we're going

219

00:11:33,194 --> 00:11:37,814

to cover most of it up with leaves, but

some of it will show some of it will

220

00:11:37,814 --> 00:11:39,765

show this old tree says, I want one too.

221

00:11:41,595 --> 00:11:42,075

There.

222

00:11:43,905 --> 00:11:49,215

So you decide, you decide

where they are there.

223

00:11:49,245 --> 00:11:53,145

Maybe your, maybe your tree

don't even have any trunk in it.

224

00:11:53,565 --> 00:11:54,495

Maybe you can't see it.

225

00:11:54,645 --> 00:11:56,475

We know it has it, but

maybe you can't see it.

226

00:11:57,855 --> 00:12:05,955

That's up to you to any way that you

want it to be is just right there.

227

00:12:07,485 --> 00:12:08,775

Maybe we'll give him one more little arm.

228

00:12:11,190 --> 00:12:14,010

One over here to hold

up at all at all area.

229

00:12:17,480 --> 00:12:18,020

All right.

230

00:12:19,160 --> 00:12:23,060

Now ma'am, let's begin to figure

out where these little trees are.

231

00:12:23,780 --> 00:12:28,460

Take a little, the yellow

little SAP, green hair.

232

00:12:28,460 --> 00:12:28,790

Won't swell.

233

00:12:28,790 --> 00:12:32,090

I'm going to touch it a

little bit of red cake.

234

00:12:32,120 --> 00:12:32,810

Let's go up in here.

235

00:12:33,770 --> 00:12:34,460

Let's do this one.

236

00:12:34,970 --> 00:12:37,280

Yeah, let's start right up in here.

237

00:12:38,640 --> 00:12:42,740

And just begin putting the impression

of some little league he's on there that

238

00:12:42,740 --> 00:12:46,250

live right out in there right out there.

239

00:12:46,550 --> 00:12:47,780

A little more paint on the brush.

240

00:12:49,580 --> 00:12:50,120

There we are.

241

00:12:51,110 --> 00:12:51,200

Okay.

242

00:12:51,350 --> 00:12:54,170

Don't be afraid to, to stop

and load the brush frequently.

243

00:12:55,160 --> 00:12:56,210

Just like we do here.

244

00:12:56,780 --> 00:12:59,600

Sometimes you have to load it

several times during one tree.

245

00:13:00,110 --> 00:13:00,680

That's okay.

246

00:13:01,820 --> 00:13:02,510

That's okay.

247

00:13:03,440 --> 00:13:04,310

We're not in any hurry.

248

00:13:05,790 --> 00:13:06,630

Well, I'm in a hurry.

249

00:13:08,310 --> 00:13:10,260

As you know, I got a

Mino director back here.

250

00:13:13,140 --> 00:13:13,800

There we are.

251

00:13:14,600 --> 00:13:16,760

I should talk about my

Mino director a little bit.

252

00:13:17,720 --> 00:13:19,400

She's really a very nice person.

253

00:13:20,450 --> 00:13:22,880

And I pick on her because she deserves it.

254

00:13:24,740 --> 00:13:28,340

This whole crew here, where

we filmed the show, some of

255

00:13:28,340 --> 00:13:29,630

the best people I've ever met.

256

00:13:30,620 --> 00:13:31,580

And I'd like to thank them.

257

00:13:31,610 --> 00:13:32,840

I don't do that often enough.

258

00:13:34,395 --> 00:13:36,824

Because without them, there

would be no joy of painting.

259

00:13:39,135 --> 00:13:40,995

They are the best there we are.

260

00:13:42,675 --> 00:13:44,415

See, got a little happy tree right there.

261

00:13:45,255 --> 00:13:46,005

Right there.

262

00:13:46,155 --> 00:13:47,354

Let's go over here at home.

263

00:13:47,805 --> 00:13:50,775

Change the flavor, a little,

a little red in there.

264

00:13:52,005 --> 00:13:52,635

Spruce it up.

265

00:13:52,635 --> 00:13:55,995

Some let's go right up in here.

266

00:13:58,845 --> 00:14:00,375

We'll put something on this little tree.

267

00:14:00,565 --> 00:14:03,945

You don't want to be left out, or

I guess this is a big old tree,

268

00:14:04,995 --> 00:14:08,055

but use was just the corner of

the, just the corner of the brush.

269

00:14:08,415 --> 00:14:09,105

That's all you need.

270

00:14:09,825 --> 00:14:13,365

Don't want to hit it full on

face on just, just the corner.

271

00:14:14,385 --> 00:14:16,755

And if you have a lot of paint

and is thinner than what's up

272

00:14:16,755 --> 00:14:21,645

there, that'll come right off

your brush and it'll work so well.

273

00:14:23,295 --> 00:14:25,605

I think the greatest thing

about this style of painting.

274

00:14:26,265 --> 00:14:30,285

It has allowed every person, every

person who's ever wanted to put a dream

275

00:14:30,285 --> 00:14:36,165

on canvas to do just that you don't

have to be blessed by Michael Angelo.

276

00:14:36,765 --> 00:14:38,475

Don't have to go to school half your life.

277

00:14:39,165 --> 00:14:43,365

You can paint and you could

do a real nice job of it.

278

00:14:44,925 --> 00:14:45,255

There.

279

00:14:45,975 --> 00:14:49,815

And I got another little tree then

now all we got to do is start picking

280

00:14:49,815 --> 00:14:52,245

out the little things here and there.

281

00:14:53,175 --> 00:14:56,385

We'll add the least little touch-up

paint, thinner least little touch.

282

00:14:56,805 --> 00:14:59,205

You might even tap it on a paper towel.

283

00:14:59,235 --> 00:15:01,095

Make sure you got all the excess out.

284

00:15:02,205 --> 00:15:03,885

Can always go back and add a little more.

285

00:15:05,535 --> 00:15:06,135

Okay.

286

00:15:06,675 --> 00:15:08,745

A little more of the color and off we go.

287

00:15:09,615 --> 00:15:11,505

Now we'll start picking

out individuals here.

288

00:15:13,005 --> 00:15:15,045

Individuals there we are.

289

00:15:15,585 --> 00:15:15,675

Okay.

290

00:15:15,725 --> 00:15:16,775

It was a happy little Bush.

291

00:15:16,895 --> 00:15:17,705

He lives right there.

292

00:15:17,795 --> 00:15:18,455

Well, what have you?

293

00:15:18,455 --> 00:15:21,485

He has, that's where I

want to live right there.

294

00:15:22,475 --> 00:15:23,405

That's the spot.

295

00:15:24,845 --> 00:15:25,175

Thank you.

296

00:15:25,175 --> 00:15:26,495

Here's the best view in here?

297

00:15:28,385 --> 00:15:28,865

Yeah.

298

00:15:29,585 --> 00:15:35,135

I lived in Alaska for over 12 years

and some of the most beautiful

299

00:15:35,135 --> 00:15:36,545

scenery in the world is there.

300

00:15:38,105 --> 00:15:39,185

Absolutely.

301

00:15:41,550 --> 00:15:44,459

As I mentioned early, this is

the last show, the 31st series.

302

00:15:45,839 --> 00:15:49,349

So it's always sort of a sad time

when it comes to the last show,

303

00:15:51,510 --> 00:15:54,420

but hopefully we'll have the

opportunity to produce some more.

304

00:15:55,920 --> 00:15:58,560

And if you hadn't got a chance to see

all of them, cause there's over 400

305

00:15:58,560 --> 00:16:01,829

shows now do give you station to call,

let them know that you want to see them.

306

00:16:02,040 --> 00:16:03,030

Cause they're available to them.

307

00:16:03,540 --> 00:16:04,589

They are available to them.

308

00:16:06,150 --> 00:16:06,780

Here we are.

309

00:16:08,010 --> 00:16:10,440

So I'm just putting layers and

layers and layers of bushes.

310

00:16:10,440 --> 00:16:12,450

And this is where all the mosquitoes live.

311

00:16:13,550 --> 00:16:18,650

I can't, there is a good place for my

little squirrel to live right here.

312

00:16:19,490 --> 00:16:20,240

A little pea pod.

313

00:16:20,270 --> 00:16:21,560

I got one more piece of film.

314

00:16:21,560 --> 00:16:22,220

I want to show you.

315

00:16:23,060 --> 00:16:24,830

He's just such a cute little devil.

316

00:16:25,970 --> 00:16:26,840

It needs something else.

317

00:16:28,079 --> 00:16:31,829

This is Peapod the pocket squirrel there.

318

00:16:32,370 --> 00:16:33,900

I really like these little creatures.

319

00:16:34,650 --> 00:16:36,360

They bring a lot of joy to my life.

320

00:16:37,770 --> 00:16:41,790

A lot of joy where I live a lot

of the, a lot of the young people

321

00:16:41,790 --> 00:16:43,860

come over just to see the animals.

322

00:16:44,189 --> 00:16:46,140

See what kind of creatures

Bob's got that day.

323

00:16:48,420 --> 00:16:49,380

And it's such a nice way.

324

00:16:49,380 --> 00:16:52,170

You can't, you can't handle

a little squirrel like that

325

00:16:52,800 --> 00:16:53,939

and grow up and not like him.

326

00:16:54,300 --> 00:16:55,350

I don't believe you can.

327

00:16:56,925 --> 00:17:00,255

And I think we need to learn to respect

nature and all of God's little creatures.

328

00:17:01,575 --> 00:17:04,185

And one of the ways that I

like to do it is to bring you

329

00:17:04,195 --> 00:17:05,415

little characters like him.

330

00:17:07,665 --> 00:17:08,175

Yeah.

331

00:17:09,795 --> 00:17:10,575

Cause isn't he cute?

332

00:17:11,265 --> 00:17:12,585

Well, that's a closeup and a half.

333

00:17:12,585 --> 00:17:16,155

There was a little devil.

334

00:17:17,985 --> 00:17:21,855

Sometimes I have eight or 10 of

them at one time that I'm raising

335

00:17:21,855 --> 00:17:22,905

and then I'll turn them loose and.

336

00:17:23,849 --> 00:17:26,849

Hey, we have a few little wild birds

and all kinds of things like that.

337

00:17:27,690 --> 00:17:29,880

Whatever needs to be

raised and taken care of.

338

00:17:30,900 --> 00:17:31,380

We'll do it.

339

00:17:33,630 --> 00:17:34,950

It's my way of saying thank you.

340

00:17:36,615 --> 00:17:38,685

Cause little squirrel or

whatever you happen to have.

341

00:17:38,955 --> 00:17:41,145

He allows you to share a little

bit of his world for a few

342

00:17:41,145 --> 00:17:44,325

days, and that's very special.

343

00:17:44,325 --> 00:17:45,465

Not many people get to do.

344

00:17:45,465 --> 00:17:48,945

Then let's go up here in this little

Bush, I've got all these done.

345

00:17:49,005 --> 00:17:50,085

He was looking at the squirrel.

346

00:17:51,885 --> 00:17:53,505

They're a little old tree right here.

347

00:17:53,505 --> 00:17:56,715

We decided he's a hanging

around having a good time.

348

00:17:57,705 --> 00:17:58,365

There he goes.

349

00:17:58,695 --> 00:17:59,385

There you go.

350

00:18:00,960 --> 00:18:03,320

It's hard to believe you can take

a two inch brush and do all this

351

00:18:03,650 --> 00:18:07,590

and take a little fellow blue and

put in there to make a very bright

352

00:18:07,620 --> 00:18:10,350

green one in the middle hurts.

353

00:18:10,350 --> 00:18:13,200

The eyes don't want a lot

of it, but a little bit here

354

00:18:13,200 --> 00:18:16,740

and there makes a nice green.

355

00:18:16,740 --> 00:18:21,960

If you're doing springtime,

very nice green, put a little

356

00:18:21,960 --> 00:18:23,100

more paint than or brush

357

00:18:26,330 --> 00:18:27,830

just to get the paint a little thinner.

358

00:18:29,400 --> 00:18:31,410

But it needs to be just a small amount.

359

00:18:31,410 --> 00:18:33,360

Don't don't don't overdo it.

360

00:18:33,360 --> 00:18:33,870

Don't overdo it.

361

00:18:33,870 --> 00:18:37,680

I know I get excited, but

I want it to work for you.

362

00:18:37,800 --> 00:18:40,440

It's most important to me

that this works for you.

363

00:18:40,830 --> 00:18:43,050

I want to, I saw this.

364

00:18:43,050 --> 00:18:47,100

This is just a natural place for

path van Dyke Brown, dark Sienna.

365

00:18:47,970 --> 00:18:50,940

Yeah, a little B-roll

of pain on the knife.

366

00:18:52,140 --> 00:18:53,040

And let's go up in here.

367

00:18:54,419 --> 00:19:00,300

And let's just, let's put us in some

Brown paint and let's make a path.

368

00:19:00,570 --> 00:19:02,010

We need a way to walk back.

369

00:19:02,320 --> 00:19:05,820

It looks like a little metal

that lives back in there, and we

370

00:19:05,820 --> 00:19:07,139

need a way to get back in there.

371

00:19:08,969 --> 00:19:12,090

I like to, I like to run through

the map, take my shoes off.

372

00:19:12,179 --> 00:19:14,639

Just, just let you foot to

run naked through there.

373

00:19:16,335 --> 00:19:19,905

That's that feels good on the bottom

of your feet, have you ever done that?

374

00:19:20,835 --> 00:19:24,375

Most people have at one time or another

Willow admitted publicly or not.

375

00:19:25,185 --> 00:19:32,355

I've just taken her shoes off and

ran through the meadow and I like it.

376

00:19:34,305 --> 00:19:34,845

Okay.

377

00:19:34,845 --> 00:19:39,015

Let's take some quiet little

Vandyke Brown, little dark Sienna.

378

00:19:39,035 --> 00:19:39,825

Mix them together.

379

00:19:41,835 --> 00:19:42,465

Put a little touch.

380

00:19:42,485 --> 00:19:43,455

The bright red in there too.

381

00:19:44,475 --> 00:19:44,685

Yeah.

382

00:19:44,775 --> 00:19:45,405

Maybe a little more.

383

00:19:46,845 --> 00:19:47,505

I like that.

384

00:19:48,575 --> 00:19:51,725

I like that experiment.

385

00:19:51,785 --> 00:19:51,875

Yeah.

386

00:19:51,935 --> 00:19:52,985

Just do crazy things.

387

00:19:54,245 --> 00:19:57,065

What's the worst thing

can happen on this canvas.

388

00:19:57,095 --> 00:19:57,515

Nothing.

389

00:19:58,265 --> 00:20:01,955

A little roller paint,

little roll of pain.

390

00:20:02,495 --> 00:20:03,005

Barely.

391

00:20:03,035 --> 00:20:03,935

Barely touching.

392

00:20:04,505 --> 00:20:05,735

Just let it graze.

393

00:20:07,235 --> 00:20:08,435

Jaslyn it grays?

394

00:20:09,725 --> 00:20:11,345

Just like you're laying

snow on the mountain.

395

00:20:14,070 --> 00:20:17,460

But isn't this neat that using

the black and the gray Jesso.

396

00:20:18,030 --> 00:20:18,270

Sure.

397

00:20:18,270 --> 00:20:22,020

It makes painting easier when

you introduce black Jesso in

398

00:20:22,020 --> 00:20:23,640

gray, jus so quite a while back.

399

00:20:24,090 --> 00:20:26,790

And it has almost become a

standard in the art world now.

400

00:20:28,230 --> 00:20:31,710

Um, most of standard, I think, I

think everybody's using it now.

401

00:20:32,450 --> 00:20:32,660

Yeah.

402

00:20:35,270 --> 00:20:38,750

Let's take a little bit more of

the, of this green cup notice.

403

00:20:38,750 --> 00:20:39,620

It's very thin.

404

00:20:40,490 --> 00:20:40,580

Okay.

405

00:20:41,085 --> 00:20:44,895

It's very thin now that I want to

sit that down into the painting.

406

00:20:45,465 --> 00:20:50,445

So we will begin to put bushes

at, come up over it, distinctly up

407

00:20:50,445 --> 00:20:54,675

over the path and that'll push that

little rascal right down in there.

408

00:20:56,385 --> 00:20:56,955

There we go.

409

00:20:57,585 --> 00:21:03,675

Wherever, wherever, little

break bread, and we'll just

410

00:21:03,675 --> 00:21:04,875

drop in some of them tutors.

411

00:21:07,125 --> 00:21:07,575

They're

412

00:21:10,754 --> 00:21:14,195

like Alexa, you know, I've mentioned

before in this series that if

413

00:21:14,195 --> 00:21:17,195

you have time, take a picture of

what you're doing, send it to us.

414

00:21:17,195 --> 00:21:20,044

We would love to see

what, what you're doing.

415

00:21:20,435 --> 00:21:24,605

What kind of success you're having a

little letter from you to timeless,

416

00:21:24,605 --> 00:21:28,745

how you're enjoying the show, what you

would like to see if you would like

417

00:21:28,745 --> 00:21:30,335

to see something that I can't paint.

418

00:21:30,930 --> 00:21:31,470

Shoot.

419

00:21:32,070 --> 00:21:34,590

We'll find somebody that can,

if you want flowers, I'll

420

00:21:34,590 --> 00:21:35,820

bring my partner in that back.

421

00:21:36,810 --> 00:21:38,040

Maybe seen one of her flower.

422

00:21:38,040 --> 00:21:42,690

She did once before white rascal can

paint some flowers or if you want to

423

00:21:42,690 --> 00:21:44,400

see something else, just let me know.

424

00:21:45,090 --> 00:21:51,360

We really, we really try to find shows

that you will like try to produce shows

425

00:21:51,360 --> 00:21:52,890

you like the little stick right there.

426

00:21:54,840 --> 00:21:58,230

Something about like, so just a

little dude or it lives in there.

427

00:21:59,610 --> 00:21:59,909

Shoot.

428

00:21:59,909 --> 00:22:00,899

We got a minute left here.

429

00:22:02,580 --> 00:22:03,330

Let's get crazy.

430

00:22:04,590 --> 00:22:08,159

You know me let's have us.

431

00:22:09,090 --> 00:22:09,600

Yes.

432

00:22:09,629 --> 00:22:10,350

That lives.

433

00:22:11,040 --> 00:22:12,360

I don't want to kill that little Bush.

434

00:22:12,389 --> 00:22:16,470

I like him a little tree, big tree.

435

00:22:16,500 --> 00:22:18,689

I mean, yeah.

436

00:22:18,689 --> 00:22:25,050

Them Rascals grow on you and

we'll have a little tree here.

437

00:22:25,050 --> 00:22:26,159

He needs a little friend.

438

00:22:27,540 --> 00:22:28,770

Give him a little friend.

439

00:22:29,729 --> 00:22:30,330

There we are.

440

00:22:33,810 --> 00:22:38,240

Let's make that's my kiss, a Birch tree.

441

00:22:38,719 --> 00:22:39,770

It would really stand out.

442

00:22:39,800 --> 00:22:41,929

White paint would really

stand out against that color.

443

00:22:43,040 --> 00:22:43,580

There we are.

444

00:22:44,300 --> 00:22:44,750

There we are.

445

00:22:45,500 --> 00:22:45,889

Look at that.

446

00:22:46,639 --> 00:22:47,510

They're easy to make.

447

00:22:48,439 --> 00:22:52,219

Easy to make a little bit on junior here.

448

00:22:54,620 --> 00:22:54,979

There.

449

00:22:56,655 --> 00:22:58,935

Everybody needs a friend,

even the old tree.

450

00:23:00,825 --> 00:23:01,305

Okay.

451

00:23:01,345 --> 00:23:08,135

Now let's take our liner brush paint,

thinner, want to thin it down then some

452

00:23:08,135 --> 00:23:10,445

Brown down very, very thin, very thin.

453

00:23:11,495 --> 00:23:15,365

A lot of paint, thinner,

put a little arm or two.

454

00:23:15,365 --> 00:23:17,195

Maybe this little tree

don't have any leaves.

455

00:23:17,585 --> 00:23:21,755

Well, maybe he's already

retired for that for the year.

456

00:23:23,225 --> 00:23:23,315

Okay.

457

00:23:24,060 --> 00:23:26,520

I'll just put him a few

little arms up here.

458

00:23:28,830 --> 00:23:29,730

There we go.

459

00:23:31,320 --> 00:23:33,629

Now maybe in yours, you'd like

to have leaves on the tree.

460

00:23:33,780 --> 00:23:34,530

You can do that.

461

00:23:35,459 --> 00:23:36,449

There are no rules here.

462

00:23:37,280 --> 00:23:39,120

Say what you can or can't paint.

463

00:23:39,510 --> 00:23:40,649

You paint, whatever you want.

464

00:23:42,449 --> 00:23:43,139

There we are.

465

00:23:45,419 --> 00:23:46,230

There we are.

466

00:23:48,240 --> 00:23:49,649

We'll put another one right in there.

467

00:23:52,590 --> 00:23:56,639

And we called him junior.

468

00:23:56,639 --> 00:24:02,220

So he needs some, he needs a

little Harmonix about like that.

469

00:24:04,260 --> 00:24:04,830

There we are.

470

00:24:07,260 --> 00:24:07,560

Okay.

471

00:24:09,060 --> 00:24:15,960

And maybe, maybe one more little Euro

there, all kinds of little things.

472

00:24:17,370 --> 00:24:18,330

No, it's take.

473

00:24:19,380 --> 00:24:24,030

A little bit of paint, thinner,

a little light color, and we'll

474

00:24:24,030 --> 00:24:27,150

put a few little sticks and twigs

and did live here and there.

475

00:24:27,270 --> 00:24:29,010

We don't know where they

are, where they are.

476

00:24:29,310 --> 00:24:30,870

Put them mostly in the dark areas though.

477

00:24:32,220 --> 00:24:32,490

There.

478

00:24:33,810 --> 00:24:34,200

Shoot.

479

00:24:34,200 --> 00:24:38,850

I think with that, we about to have

a finished painting, the cost side.

480

00:24:38,950 --> 00:24:42,870

This one, they will clock on the wall,

tells me it's about time to bring

481

00:24:42,870 --> 00:24:45,330

this show and the series to a close.

482

00:24:47,085 --> 00:24:49,754

I really enjoyed being with

you for the past 13 shows.

483

00:24:49,995 --> 00:24:51,705

And I hope to see you again very soon.

484

00:24:52,725 --> 00:24:56,504

If you get a chance, stop by

Branson, Missouri, and say

485

00:24:56,535 --> 00:25:00,285

hello to us until next time.

486

00:25:01,725 --> 00:25:05,024

I'd like to wish each and every

one of you happy painting.

487

00:25:05,745 --> 00:25:06,435

God bless.

488

00:25:07,004 --> 00:25:07,875

And we'll see you soon.

1

00:00:29,025 --> 00:00:30,135

Hi, welcome back.

2

00:00:30,165 --> 00:00:34,185

Certainly glad to see you today, tell you

what let's get right on his day and have

3

00:00:34,185 --> 00:00:37,395

him run all the colors across the screen

that you need to paint long with us at

4

00:00:37,395 --> 00:00:39,855

home while they're doing that as usual.

5

00:00:39,855 --> 00:00:41,715

Let me show you what I have today.

6

00:00:41,715 --> 00:00:45,975

I have my standard old pre-stretch double

prime canvas, and I've just covered it

7

00:00:45,975 --> 00:00:47,865

with a very thin coat of liquid white.

8

00:00:47,894 --> 00:00:49,575

That's all it's wet and ready to go.

9

00:00:49,575 --> 00:00:52,905

So I thought today, maybe we

would do a, let's do a little

10

00:00:52,905 --> 00:00:54,195

winter scene something that's.

11

00:00:55,074 --> 00:00:55,915

Let's just see what happens.

12

00:00:55,915 --> 00:01:00,144

Let's start with, with black and

blue, her blue and black, and we

13

00:01:00,144 --> 00:01:02,724

just sort of mix them together on the

brush, more black than blue though.

14

00:01:04,114 --> 00:01:05,774

I thought we'd just

play a little bit today.

15

00:01:06,465 --> 00:01:09,615

It's such a wonderful day here and

I hope it is wherever you're at.

16

00:01:10,604 --> 00:01:12,495

So just have a good time with this.

17

00:01:13,545 --> 00:01:14,235

There we are.

18

00:01:15,345 --> 00:01:18,405

Let's just, we'll just pop in

the little sky here and there.

19

00:01:19,455 --> 00:01:21,074

Something about like, so.

20

00:01:22,590 --> 00:01:27,990

Where am I leaving some spots open

intentionally, just little spots.

21

00:01:27,990 --> 00:01:31,410

I don't want this to be a flat

old, dead sky wanting to have

22

00:01:31,410 --> 00:01:33,000

some life, some action to it.

23

00:01:33,960 --> 00:01:34,530

Shoot.

24

00:01:35,580 --> 00:01:36,900

Maybe we can get a little crazy here.

25

00:01:38,910 --> 00:01:43,020

I've got several of these brushes going,

grab another one, put a little touch, a

26

00:01:43,020 --> 00:01:49,770

little touch, not much little touch of a

lizard Crimson, maybe right along here.

27

00:01:51,460 --> 00:01:53,860

Just so it's not too bleak.

28

00:01:54,280 --> 00:01:55,390

Sometimes winter scenes.

29

00:01:55,470 --> 00:01:57,990

It can be very, very depressing.

30

00:02:00,060 --> 00:02:02,220

I'm gonna put just a little

pink in there just to give it a

31

00:02:02,220 --> 00:02:04,590

little warmth in the background.

32

00:02:05,160 --> 00:02:07,260

I don't want much don't want much.

33

00:02:07,260 --> 00:02:09,690

I still want it to have a

distinct winter taste to it.

34

00:02:10,920 --> 00:02:11,520

There we are.

35

00:02:11,730 --> 00:02:12,360

And we'll just.

36

00:02:13,125 --> 00:02:15,494

Play some of that right

down to the edge, that pink.

37

00:02:18,405 --> 00:02:19,935

And that's basically all it takes.

38

00:02:21,584 --> 00:02:25,964

They're blended a little

bit and that's good.

39

00:02:26,595 --> 00:02:27,614

That'll give us a sky.

40

00:02:27,614 --> 00:02:29,505

That is, I say it has little life in it.

41

00:02:29,565 --> 00:02:30,734

Some actions happening.

42

00:02:30,734 --> 00:02:32,415

It's not just a flat old dead guy.

43

00:02:32,415 --> 00:02:33,704

You can see light areas.

44

00:02:34,484 --> 00:02:38,445

And I like that in sky shoot

desk working pretty good.

45

00:02:39,285 --> 00:02:40,545

They will do the same thing down here.

46

00:02:41,475 --> 00:02:41,984

Doesn't matter.

47

00:02:44,174 --> 00:02:46,454

Anything that we don't don't use.

48

00:02:47,535 --> 00:02:48,915

We'll just turn it into a shadow.

49

00:02:49,725 --> 00:02:51,855

If this is a winter scene,

maybe we'll have some snow.

50

00:02:52,185 --> 00:02:56,174

We've got to have shadows in the snow,

or maybe it'll turn out to be water.

51

00:02:57,674 --> 00:02:58,274

Who knows?

52

00:02:58,545 --> 00:02:59,174

It doesn't matter.

53

00:03:00,345 --> 00:03:03,015

Doesn't matter because

we can fix anything.

54

00:03:03,015 --> 00:03:03,885

It can happen here.

55

00:03:03,945 --> 00:03:06,385

We don't, we don't concern ourselves with.

56

00:03:06,765 --> 00:03:07,335

Mistakes.

57

00:03:07,335 --> 00:03:10,515

We just have happy accidents there.

58

00:03:12,555 --> 00:03:17,325

Say something about like, it

was a good way to clean the

59

00:03:17,565 --> 00:03:18,855

excess paint off your brush.

60

00:03:20,835 --> 00:03:21,345

Okay.

61

00:03:21,405 --> 00:03:22,665

Let's wash the old brush now.

62

00:03:24,225 --> 00:03:27,315

If you painted with me before, you know,

that's really the fun part of this.

63

00:03:28,215 --> 00:03:29,415

That's really the fun part.

64

00:03:29,415 --> 00:03:32,255

Just washing the brush there.

65

00:03:35,135 --> 00:03:35,734

Isn't that fun.

66

00:03:37,204 --> 00:03:39,755

I usually just wipe the brush

on a paper towel to assure it's

67

00:03:39,755 --> 00:03:41,405

as dry as I can possibly get it.

68

00:03:42,885 --> 00:03:45,975

But you'd be surprised at how

dry it gets just from beating it.

69

00:03:45,975 --> 00:03:46,395

Like, yeah.

70

00:03:46,905 --> 00:03:54,975

Let's take a black pression blue, little

touch of Crimson black, blue Crimson.

71

00:03:55,005 --> 00:03:59,985

And I'm going to get some white

jazz, take a little bit of white.

72

00:04:01,454 --> 00:04:03,045

I'm going to mix up.

73

00:04:03,555 --> 00:04:04,935

We'll put a little more blue in there.

74

00:04:05,625 --> 00:04:05,985

Yeah.

75

00:04:06,945 --> 00:04:08,954

I want it to have sort

of a blue cast to it.

76

00:04:10,269 --> 00:04:10,959

Ooh, I like that.

77

00:04:11,420 --> 00:04:12,130

I like that.

78

00:04:12,190 --> 00:04:13,090

That's looking good.

79

00:04:13,239 --> 00:04:14,170

Maybe a little more white.

80

00:04:14,620 --> 00:04:16,779

You just mix it till it

gets to the flavor you like.

81

00:04:17,719 --> 00:04:18,760

I think that's wonderful.

82

00:04:19,779 --> 00:04:21,940

It's sort of a drab blue color.

83

00:04:21,969 --> 00:04:25,690

It's not real bright there.

84

00:04:25,750 --> 00:04:26,680

It's a nice winter coat.

85

00:04:26,730 --> 00:04:26,940

Okay.

86

00:04:29,070 --> 00:04:29,520

All right.

87

00:04:29,520 --> 00:04:32,670

Let's grab an old brush

loaded, full of color.

88

00:04:32,880 --> 00:04:37,770

We use old fan bursts today,

maybe in our world back here.

89

00:04:38,865 --> 00:04:41,025

Somewhere in the background.

90

00:04:41,715 --> 00:04:47,205

See, this color is not far away from

the color that's already on the canvas.

91

00:04:48,345 --> 00:04:49,065

Let's just push up.

92

00:04:49,065 --> 00:04:52,695

Where did they make us

a little tree there?

93

00:04:52,755 --> 00:04:54,705

It's pretty close to the

colors on the canvas.

94

00:04:55,185 --> 00:04:56,115

And that's what we're looking for.

95

00:04:56,115 --> 00:04:59,025

I don't want it to be

too much, further away.

96

00:05:00,075 --> 00:05:01,275

Pretty close, pretty close.

97

00:05:02,700 --> 00:05:06,780

All right there, maybe another

little tree right there.

98

00:05:07,680 --> 00:05:09,780

And you decide how many

trees live in your world.

99

00:05:09,810 --> 00:05:11,010

It's up to you totally.

100

00:05:11,010 --> 00:05:12,510

And completely up to you.

101

00:05:14,700 --> 00:05:17,850

As you've probably heard me say

before, to me, that's what's

102

00:05:17,850 --> 00:05:19,410

so fantastic about painting.

103

00:05:20,160 --> 00:05:22,530

Is it each and every person

will paint differently.

104

00:05:23,100 --> 00:05:24,420

And that's what makes it special.

105

00:05:24,990 --> 00:05:29,850

If we all painted the same way, what

a boring time it would be, you would

106

00:05:29,850 --> 00:05:32,130

know what the finished painting

was going to be before you start.

107

00:05:34,050 --> 00:05:36,840

But because people are different

paintings are different.

108

00:05:38,085 --> 00:05:39,135

That's the beauty of it.

109

00:05:39,585 --> 00:05:42,225

That's what makes it very special.

110

00:05:43,965 --> 00:05:48,675

It allows you to, to show

your individuality there.

111

00:05:51,915 --> 00:05:53,265

How many trees do we want here?

112

00:05:53,795 --> 00:05:54,305

It's up to you.

113

00:05:54,365 --> 00:05:58,475

You decide, you decide maybe

you want to the whole forest.

114

00:05:58,505 --> 00:05:59,645

Maybe just want a few.

115

00:06:01,410 --> 00:06:02,970

Maybe just a little baby one right there.

116

00:06:03,360 --> 00:06:04,320

He's not so big yet.

117

00:06:05,580 --> 00:06:06,720

Make up little stories.

118

00:06:06,780 --> 00:06:10,440

You know, people look at you, like you're

a little strange, but that's all right.

119

00:06:10,560 --> 00:06:12,300

Painters are expected to be different.

120

00:06:14,400 --> 00:06:16,320

Let's have one more right there.

121

00:06:17,595 --> 00:06:22,455

One more that say painters

or painters are unique.

122

00:06:22,725 --> 00:06:24,525

I take advantage of that all the time too.

123

00:06:26,385 --> 00:06:30,255

Now then let me take

the old two inch brush.

124

00:06:30,735 --> 00:06:36,615

I want to create the illusion of mist down

here at the base of this illusion of this.

125

00:06:36,825 --> 00:06:38,955

So just by tapping or we're just going to.

126

00:06:39,155 --> 00:06:41,375

Softly softly disappear over here.

127

00:06:43,205 --> 00:06:45,185

I want these trees to just

sort of look like they're just

128

00:06:45,185 --> 00:06:50,105

sitting in a little Misty area,

just breathing in the cold air,

129

00:06:54,815 --> 00:06:55,775

something like that.

130

00:06:58,385 --> 00:07:00,455

But now we have a whole bunch

of trees in the background.

131

00:07:01,955 --> 00:07:06,275

It's very Misty, cold looking and already

you have the impression of winter.

132

00:07:07,285 --> 00:07:07,795

That easy.

133

00:07:09,715 --> 00:07:10,135

Right?

134

00:07:12,015 --> 00:07:15,345

Let's get a clean two inch

brush time to have some fun.

135

00:07:16,485 --> 00:07:20,835

Let's have us a little snow in

here now to paint snow with a two

136

00:07:20,835 --> 00:07:25,695

inch brush, very easy loaded, full

of color, full of titanium white.

137

00:07:26,655 --> 00:07:30,015

And we have, we already have

this gray color on the canvas.

138

00:07:30,015 --> 00:07:32,175

We, we put on and talked about it being.

139

00:07:33,795 --> 00:07:34,665

Like a shadow.

140

00:07:34,755 --> 00:07:36,735

Now it's going to pick

that up, see you there.

141

00:07:38,175 --> 00:07:39,975

And we just let it sort

of disappear over here.

142

00:07:40,245 --> 00:07:40,905

We don't care.

143

00:07:42,285 --> 00:07:52,515

We don't care that easy, but in that

fantastic snow is one of the easier

144

00:07:52,515 --> 00:07:54,705

things to paint in this technique.

145

00:07:55,755 --> 00:07:56,265

Okay.

146

00:07:57,570 --> 00:07:59,610

You ready for a little,

a little fun today.

147

00:07:59,909 --> 00:08:03,630

Maybe tell you what we

filmed the show in Indiana.

148

00:08:03,630 --> 00:08:07,219

And there's a, there's a lot of old

barns here that just fascinate me.

149

00:08:07,430 --> 00:08:08,719

Let's paint an old barn today.

150

00:08:10,010 --> 00:08:13,580

One of the easiest ways is to

take scrape out a basic shape.

151

00:08:13,850 --> 00:08:15,469

Just sort of scrape it out.

152

00:08:16,219 --> 00:08:21,469

It doesn't have to be exact and you're

not committed, not committed here.

153

00:08:22,680 --> 00:08:26,460

So let's just decide what

kind of old barn we want.

154

00:08:27,240 --> 00:08:28,740

Maybe comes down my cat.

155

00:08:29,880 --> 00:08:32,280

Maybe it has a place over

here for the cow to sleep.

156

00:08:33,419 --> 00:08:34,140

It doesn't matter.

157

00:08:34,380 --> 00:08:35,940

You decide barns, come in.

158

00:08:35,940 --> 00:08:37,350

All kinds of shapes.

159

00:08:38,940 --> 00:08:40,260

Farmers are like painters.

160

00:08:40,260 --> 00:08:42,120

They, they do it their way.

161

00:08:43,380 --> 00:08:43,770

Yeah.

162

00:08:44,220 --> 00:08:47,670

That's, what's so great about being

a farmer, this fantastic country.

163

00:08:48,540 --> 00:08:49,830

You can do it your way.

164

00:08:50,955 --> 00:08:51,795

All right.

165

00:08:52,605 --> 00:08:57,345

I have a lot of friends here that

are farmers have to get a brownie

166

00:08:57,345 --> 00:09:01,845

point in with them because they got

the best food and I like to eat.

167

00:09:02,265 --> 00:09:02,595

All right.

168

00:09:02,595 --> 00:09:07,605

On the other side at the same

distance here, we'll just skip out.

169

00:09:07,845 --> 00:09:10,665

I hope you can see there's just

a basic, basic shape there.

170

00:09:11,325 --> 00:09:14,985

And as I mentioned earlier, you are not

committed Vandyke Brown, dark Sienna.

171

00:09:15,735 --> 00:09:18,885

You can change your mind at this

point, a little roll of paint.

172

00:09:19,845 --> 00:09:22,785

That let's begin picking out

the little things in here.

173

00:09:24,135 --> 00:09:25,755

There's the, at the back Eve.

174

00:09:26,205 --> 00:09:27,315

See, they're that easy.

175

00:09:28,955 --> 00:09:29,345

Okay.

176

00:09:29,405 --> 00:09:35,405

Now then the old barn comes down

to kind of make those noises.

177

00:09:39,185 --> 00:09:41,735

All we're doing here is

blocking in a little color.

178

00:09:41,735 --> 00:09:43,955

We'll come back and do a barn

ectomy after a while and cut

179

00:09:43,955 --> 00:09:45,095

it off wherever we want it.

180

00:09:45,875 --> 00:09:51,000

But right now, All we're doing is

putting in the dark, putting in some

181

00:09:51,000 --> 00:09:55,970

dark colors there, here we go to blue.

182

00:09:56,720 --> 00:09:57,110

Sit here.

183

00:09:58,280 --> 00:09:58,610

Sorry.

184

00:09:58,610 --> 00:09:59,450

I make those little noise.

185

00:09:59,450 --> 00:10:00,170

I sort of forget.

186

00:10:00,170 --> 00:10:03,230

Cause I really do make them, even when

I'm by myself, I make little noises

187

00:10:04,190 --> 00:10:05,990

sort of makes things work better for me.

188

00:10:07,940 --> 00:10:08,570

All right.

189

00:10:08,600 --> 00:10:08,810

I know.

190

00:10:08,810 --> 00:10:10,280

But here too.

191

00:10:11,280 --> 00:10:13,800

There we go see, that's really bad.

192

00:10:13,810 --> 00:10:17,700

All we're looking forward

to block it in right in here

193

00:10:17,700 --> 00:10:20,490

would be a little dark paint.

194

00:10:21,900 --> 00:10:22,320

Okay.

195

00:10:22,440 --> 00:10:29,010

Now let's take, let's take, let's

take some quite dark Sienna.

196

00:10:31,890 --> 00:10:32,490

A little band.

197

00:10:32,490 --> 00:10:36,120

I can hear a little Crimson too.

198

00:10:36,120 --> 00:10:36,870

What the heck?

199

00:10:37,380 --> 00:10:39,030

Give it a little warm feeling.

200

00:10:39,449 --> 00:10:40,800

Don't overmix the paint.

201

00:10:42,300 --> 00:10:47,850

Cut off a little roll of paint and then we

can go up in here and just barely touch.

202

00:10:48,449 --> 00:10:52,140

Just let it greasy, but it graze,

it looks like Oh, low wood.

203

00:10:53,775 --> 00:10:57,495

If you've painted Barnes and cabins

and stuff for, you know what I

204

00:10:57,495 --> 00:10:59,385

really like to paint old things.

205

00:11:00,945 --> 00:11:03,405

I'm an avid collector of antique glass.

206

00:11:03,405 --> 00:11:05,445

For example, I like old things.

207

00:11:07,005 --> 00:11:09,345

When you get my age, you have

a tendency to like old things.

208

00:11:09,615 --> 00:11:10,545

You can relate to them.

209

00:11:12,315 --> 00:11:12,975

There we are.

210

00:11:16,035 --> 00:11:17,865

And I am old, older than dirt.

211

00:11:19,055 --> 00:11:23,465

Let's take a little, a little van Dyke

Brown, and I want a dark in that color

212

00:11:24,485 --> 00:11:28,355

so that it's darker over here on the

side, because not, maybe not as much

213

00:11:28,355 --> 00:11:29,435

the light's going to hit over here.

214

00:11:30,275 --> 00:11:36,215

See, that's much darker now that let's

put some boards in there for that.

215

00:11:36,215 --> 00:11:40,595

And we'll just take some Vandyke

Brown and we'll just put the

216

00:11:40,595 --> 00:11:41,825

indication here and there.

217

00:11:43,110 --> 00:11:46,340

That's some little boards,

some slabs that live in here.

218

00:11:47,960 --> 00:11:48,260

There.

219

00:11:50,900 --> 00:11:53,090

I wish the barn was this

easy to bill for real.

220

00:11:54,380 --> 00:11:57,140

A father was a carpenter

and I built a few barns.

221

00:11:58,070 --> 00:12:03,290

It's not this easy there, not this easy.

222

00:12:05,600 --> 00:12:07,910

There were something about like, yeah.

223

00:12:08,630 --> 00:12:09,020

Now, then.

224

00:12:10,515 --> 00:12:12,165

We need a roof on this bar.

225

00:12:12,405 --> 00:12:13,695

So the cat don't get cold.

226

00:12:14,625 --> 00:12:16,245

Let's take some titanium white.

227

00:12:17,745 --> 00:12:20,805

Since we said this was winter,

maybe the snow is there.

228

00:12:22,515 --> 00:12:24,135

Let's just outline it.

229

00:12:24,135 --> 00:12:26,925

So that way you'll get a nice

straight edge when you pull it down.

230

00:12:27,075 --> 00:12:29,615

Watch see there.

231

00:12:31,205 --> 00:12:32,015

There we go.

232

00:12:32,315 --> 00:12:37,685

Now then a little more of

the white little touch, more.

233

00:12:40,530 --> 00:12:43,770

There, there we go.

234

00:12:45,650 --> 00:12:45,950

Neat.

235

00:12:45,950 --> 00:12:50,630

And it looks like snow's piled up on top

of the old barn a little bit over there.

236

00:12:51,230 --> 00:12:52,880

Cause you'd see some on that side too.

237

00:12:54,080 --> 00:13:00,860

You would also see some here and Oh,

we got a whole section to go here.

238

00:13:05,475 --> 00:13:08,975

And let me get some more

white, same thing though.

239

00:13:09,155 --> 00:13:10,415

I want to outline it a little bit.

240

00:13:10,415 --> 00:13:11,944

So you have a nice straight edge.

241

00:13:12,845 --> 00:13:16,835

Then when you pull it straight edge,

242

00:13:20,465 --> 00:13:21,275

there we go.

243

00:13:22,595 --> 00:13:23,765

Something about my cat.

244

00:13:25,595 --> 00:13:26,015

Okay.

245

00:13:28,815 --> 00:13:34,265

There, you can just move it, pull

it, work it any way that you want.

246

00:13:35,705 --> 00:13:36,035

All right.

247

00:13:36,035 --> 00:13:36,695

We need a door.

248

00:13:36,935 --> 00:13:39,065

Old cows got to have a way

to get in and out there.

249

00:13:39,185 --> 00:13:43,205

Let's take some van Dyke,

decide where your door lives.

250

00:13:43,235 --> 00:13:47,555

And once again, don't worry about

the bottom we're going to do.

251

00:13:47,975 --> 00:13:50,375

We're going to do a barn

ectomy, as I mentioned earlier.

252

00:13:51,265 --> 00:13:57,795

We'll cut this rascal off where ever we

want it to be, which is about time to do.

253

00:13:57,795 --> 00:13:58,215

Now.

254

00:13:59,355 --> 00:14:03,255

Let's say the old barn

right along in there.

255

00:14:04,095 --> 00:14:04,325

See.

256

00:14:06,750 --> 00:14:08,040

Didn't take too much cutting on them.

257

00:14:08,040 --> 00:14:10,530

And sometimes I paint them where

I had to cut a lot off the bottom

258

00:14:11,040 --> 00:14:13,500

because I get carried away, carried.

259

00:14:13,510 --> 00:14:17,069

I get to tell stories and

things begin just looking good.

260

00:14:17,069 --> 00:14:18,150

And I don't know when to stop.

261

00:14:19,170 --> 00:14:19,650

All right.

262

00:14:20,010 --> 00:14:21,449

It gives us a pretty nice little barn.

263

00:14:22,140 --> 00:14:22,709

There it is.

264

00:14:23,610 --> 00:14:25,530

Let's find a one, two inch brush.

265

00:14:26,250 --> 00:14:27,270

Oh, two inch brush.

266

00:14:28,890 --> 00:14:31,439

It's got a little snow

on it and a little snow.

267

00:14:31,469 --> 00:14:32,520

Let's go up in here.

268

00:14:33,480 --> 00:14:35,910

And we put another plane

come right in there.

269

00:14:38,450 --> 00:14:42,020

There we are, watch that Brown snow,

and you know what they say about it.

270

00:14:43,670 --> 00:14:50,510

There we are about in there,

over here on the other side,

271

00:14:50,510 --> 00:14:52,070

we'll just bring it right up.

272

00:14:53,810 --> 00:14:54,290

I can't.

273

00:14:56,510 --> 00:14:57,470

And.

274

00:14:58,270 --> 00:15:01,469

Had little snow around his foot that easy.

275

00:15:02,939 --> 00:15:06,780

Once again, snow is so easy to paint when

you're using a big old two inch brush.

276

00:15:07,589 --> 00:15:09,000

So easy to paint.

277

00:15:10,830 --> 00:15:12,810

Let me find a clean fan brush.

278

00:15:12,810 --> 00:15:13,290

There's one.

279

00:15:13,350 --> 00:15:14,069

It looks pretty good.

280

00:15:17,069 --> 00:15:21,660

Find us a place to work on the old

palette, got to have a big palette,

281

00:15:22,230 --> 00:15:24,870

big pallets, very, very helpful.

282

00:15:25,860 --> 00:15:31,350

It's almost as important as

having a, having an easel

283

00:15:31,470 --> 00:15:33,569

that holds your paint firmly.

284

00:15:33,569 --> 00:15:36,900

Your painting firmly when

you're using two inch brushes.

285

00:15:37,755 --> 00:15:42,704

You really need a good firm,

easel, a large palette.

286

00:15:45,135 --> 00:15:46,785

It'll pay you tremendous dividends.

287

00:15:47,415 --> 00:15:51,345

Let's mix up some color here, right

on the brush, little pressure and

288

00:15:51,345 --> 00:15:53,954

blue, black, Brown, little Crimson.

289

00:15:54,944 --> 00:15:57,495

All in good colors, maybe.

290

00:15:59,595 --> 00:15:59,865

Okay.

291

00:16:00,900 --> 00:16:01,350

Here we go.

292

00:16:01,800 --> 00:16:05,940

Maybe right here, I'll put a

little paint thinner just to

293

00:16:05,940 --> 00:16:07,170

thin the paints a little thick.

294

00:16:09,000 --> 00:16:11,370

When you paint just a little bit,

you pretty soon you begin to get

295

00:16:11,370 --> 00:16:12,780

a feel for it when it touches.

296

00:16:12,780 --> 00:16:16,650

If it don't want to pull just right,

then you can add a little thinner, but

297

00:16:16,650 --> 00:16:18,330

not don't do that unless you have to.

298

00:16:19,740 --> 00:16:20,520

I just knew the paint.

299

00:16:20,520 --> 00:16:22,290

Wasn't going to come off

the brush unless I did.

300

00:16:24,210 --> 00:16:25,770

I'm going to have a happy little tree.

301

00:16:26,070 --> 00:16:27,120

He lives right there.

302

00:16:27,480 --> 00:16:29,460

Just a little guy, little guy.

303

00:16:30,209 --> 00:16:31,199

Right on the side of the barn.

304

00:16:31,949 --> 00:16:32,910

Let's go on the other side over here.

305

00:16:34,459 --> 00:16:36,920

You know, me bravery test.

306

00:16:36,920 --> 00:16:37,400

Here we go.

307

00:16:37,849 --> 00:16:40,010

Figure tree, big old tree.

308

00:16:40,849 --> 00:16:42,020

I like his evergreens.

309

00:16:43,219 --> 00:16:44,479

There's so much fun to make.

310

00:16:46,160 --> 00:16:48,380

And they're very simple,

very, very simple.

311

00:16:48,680 --> 00:16:49,640

It takes a little practice.

312

00:16:49,640 --> 00:16:52,370

Like everything else, everything in

your life takes a little practice,

313

00:16:53,719 --> 00:16:56,510

but you can learn to paint this

technique faster than any painting

314

00:16:56,510 --> 00:16:57,859

technique that I have ever seen.

315

00:16:59,250 --> 00:17:08,819

And I think I've tried just about all of

them there and oils are so forgiving and

316

00:17:08,819 --> 00:17:13,980

they're, they possess a richness that no

other medium possesses think that's why

317

00:17:13,980 --> 00:17:16,500

the old masters painted mostly in oils.

318

00:17:18,435 --> 00:17:20,955

They just have, or richness.

319

00:17:22,935 --> 00:17:25,694

Other mediums to me are

very flat when they're dry

320

00:17:30,645 --> 00:17:31,335

and they're harder.

321

00:17:32,025 --> 00:17:34,605

This is the easiest because

it's very forgiving.

322

00:17:34,605 --> 00:17:35,955

You can't make a mistake here.

323

00:17:37,395 --> 00:17:42,705

All right, let's take, let's take

some of that nice gray color we had.

324

00:17:45,435 --> 00:17:46,515

You do write in here.

325

00:17:47,835 --> 00:17:51,345

Maybe there's a little, maybe there's a

little path that just works its way out.

326

00:17:52,605 --> 00:17:54,135

Just works its way out here.

327

00:17:56,265 --> 00:17:59,235

It's out there about like, yeah,

we just put some gray in there so

328

00:18:00,105 --> 00:18:04,295

it can come right on right on now.

329

00:18:07,800 --> 00:18:10,500

Put some highlights on our

little evergreens, clean off

330

00:18:10,500 --> 00:18:15,600

another spot, running out of

room today, running out of room.

331

00:18:16,980 --> 00:18:17,520

There we go.

332

00:18:18,870 --> 00:18:25,200

Now I'll take liquid white

titanium, white and fellow blue.

333

00:18:26,355 --> 00:18:27,375

I changed the blue.

334

00:18:27,435 --> 00:18:30,435

I've been using pression blue

through the entire painting.

335

00:18:30,435 --> 00:18:35,534

Now I want to use the low blue because

I want to highlight these trees and that

336

00:18:35,534 --> 00:18:37,725

they low blue will stand out a little bit.

337

00:18:39,405 --> 00:18:41,715

Just want it to, to stand up.

338

00:18:41,895 --> 00:18:42,915

This is a blue spruce.

339

00:18:42,915 --> 00:18:46,245

I just made a decision command

level decision right here.

340

00:18:47,955 --> 00:18:50,745

See, you decide what kind

of tree lives in your world.

341

00:18:51,975 --> 00:18:52,635

All right.

342

00:18:54,645 --> 00:18:56,625

Mix up a little more that

they look blue and white.

343

00:18:57,435 --> 00:19:00,345

I want to know the little,

don't want that out.

344

00:19:00,345 --> 00:19:04,065

A little tree left out right

there and you have to decide

345

00:19:04,065 --> 00:19:05,355

which trees in the foreground.

346

00:19:06,075 --> 00:19:10,725

I think the small one here is, so

you do the one behind him first.

347

00:19:12,215 --> 00:19:12,665

How's that?

348

00:19:14,165 --> 00:19:15,665

And did a little tree over here.

349

00:19:15,905 --> 00:19:16,655

Don't forget him.

350

00:19:17,015 --> 00:19:17,705

He could say it.

351

00:19:19,055 --> 00:19:19,145

Okay.

352

00:19:19,680 --> 00:19:20,520

He get sad.

353

00:19:21,540 --> 00:19:23,640

We we'll give him a little color on here.

354

00:19:25,080 --> 00:19:27,360

There isn't that easy?

355

00:19:28,470 --> 00:19:29,280

That easy.

356

00:19:29,790 --> 00:19:29,970

Hmm.

357

00:19:30,010 --> 00:19:30,450

Okay.

358

00:19:32,580 --> 00:19:37,290

Well, let's try here a

little bit of titanium white.

359

00:19:38,370 --> 00:19:40,140

Allow it to pick up some of that color.

360

00:19:42,060 --> 00:19:44,040

Now I have to pick it up intentionally.

361

00:19:45,210 --> 00:19:47,820

So that way you get all these

different things happening.

362

00:19:50,030 --> 00:19:53,990

They're okay.

363

00:19:58,580 --> 00:20:00,770

The winter scenes are a lot

of fun and I really think they

364

00:20:00,770 --> 00:20:02,300

might be the easiest ones to do.

365

00:20:04,800 --> 00:20:05,250

Here we are.

366

00:20:07,500 --> 00:20:08,879

And we just blend that a little bit too.

367

00:20:08,889 --> 00:20:11,790

It looks nice and soft and pretty.

368

00:20:14,219 --> 00:20:18,780

And this little tree over here,

I'm intentionally grabbing

369

00:20:18,780 --> 00:20:19,949

some of that dark color.

370

00:20:22,105 --> 00:20:25,395

Say, we'll put him up on a

little Hill, sorta that easy.

371

00:20:26,455 --> 00:20:27,915

See, he sorta sits up high.

372

00:20:28,395 --> 00:20:30,905

Isn't that neat, but just by

pulling some of that color that

373

00:20:30,905 --> 00:20:32,235

you can create that illusion.

374

00:20:33,615 --> 00:20:36,035

It's unbelievable to

have this kid, the power.

375

00:20:36,935 --> 00:20:37,955

Unbelievable.

376

00:20:40,475 --> 00:20:41,045

There we go.

377

00:20:43,145 --> 00:20:43,655

All right.

378

00:20:43,655 --> 00:20:45,545

See the little path it's

coming right along there.

379

00:20:45,545 --> 00:20:48,425

Maybe there we go.

380

00:20:49,665 --> 00:20:54,275

You just decide where your

little path is there we are,

381

00:20:56,615 --> 00:20:57,845

and you can take your fan burst.

382

00:20:57,845 --> 00:21:03,465

It has the gray on it and just

Polish the edges up a little bit.

383

00:21:03,485 --> 00:21:06,735

However you want to cut it.

384

00:21:07,145 --> 00:21:10,385

We can just go back and forth

and work this until it, till

385

00:21:10,385 --> 00:21:11,885

it gets just what we consider.

386

00:21:11,885 --> 00:21:12,425

Perfect.

387

00:21:14,135 --> 00:21:18,005

And sometimes it's nice to, we'll

just pop in a little Deuter here.

388

00:21:18,780 --> 00:21:23,970

Then lift up, lift it up, make

it look like little bushes

389

00:21:23,970 --> 00:21:25,139

and weeds live in there.

390

00:21:27,240 --> 00:21:28,470

Maybe there's one criminal right here.

391

00:21:28,590 --> 00:21:29,040

I don't know.

392

00:21:29,610 --> 00:21:34,110

You decide, you decide where they

are, but you have little patches of

393

00:21:34,110 --> 00:21:38,909

bushes and sticks and wigs, Williamson,

twigs that grow over everywhere.

394

00:21:39,360 --> 00:21:39,810

There we go.

395

00:21:42,120 --> 00:21:42,660

All right.

396

00:21:43,680 --> 00:21:44,820

We'll just use that same brush.

397

00:21:44,880 --> 00:21:45,630

Ready to get crazy.

398

00:21:45,750 --> 00:21:49,830

Let's take some Vandag

Brown, mostly Vandyke Brown.

399

00:21:49,860 --> 00:21:51,030

There's a little black on the brush.

400

00:21:51,060 --> 00:21:54,540

I think it doesn't matter in our world.

401

00:21:54,850 --> 00:21:57,960

And then are you ready

for your bravery test?

402

00:21:58,380 --> 00:21:59,310

K here comes.

403

00:21:59,870 --> 00:22:00,170

Yeah.

404

00:22:06,615 --> 00:22:07,005

Okay.

405

00:22:07,035 --> 00:22:07,935

Let's give him a friend.

406

00:22:08,175 --> 00:22:09,675

Let's give him a friends

407

00:22:12,695 --> 00:22:16,115

there, something about my cat.

408

00:22:17,625 --> 00:22:22,145

Maybe, maybe this is an old

Birch tree that lives out here.

409

00:22:22,415 --> 00:22:22,985

It's up to you.

410

00:22:23,585 --> 00:22:25,685

You could make him a Birch or whatever.

411

00:22:27,455 --> 00:22:28,985

You can have an old

Oak tree if you wanted.

412

00:22:28,985 --> 00:22:30,245

It doesn't matter.

413

00:22:32,495 --> 00:22:32,855

There.

414

00:22:34,485 --> 00:22:38,645

Something like, so there we are.

415

00:22:40,115 --> 00:22:40,254

Yeah.

416

00:22:40,264 --> 00:22:41,135

It's hard to believe.

417

00:22:41,794 --> 00:22:44,135

This is the 31st series

of the joy of painting.

418

00:22:45,034 --> 00:22:47,044

Gosh, there's over 400 shows now.

419

00:22:47,705 --> 00:22:50,075

It's almost unreal almost.

420

00:22:51,245 --> 00:22:55,985

I want to thank you for allowing

us to come to you for this long.

421

00:22:56,855 --> 00:23:00,004

We've been doing this show

now for well over 11 years.

422

00:23:01,485 --> 00:23:02,475

11 years.

423

00:23:03,735 --> 00:23:07,425

And you've made me feel very special

to invite me into your home and

424

00:23:08,084 --> 00:23:09,405

to let me be part of your family.

425

00:23:10,365 --> 00:23:11,294

Thank you very much.

426

00:23:13,365 --> 00:23:18,245

If you, hadn't got to see all the shows

in the year and you would like to keep

427

00:23:18,245 --> 00:23:23,375

you station to call they're available

to them, they're available to them.

428

00:23:23,705 --> 00:23:27,604

Or if you want to see some of

them over again, let them know.

429

00:23:28,145 --> 00:23:29,104

It's the only way they know.

430

00:23:30,220 --> 00:23:31,620

Little Brown, but paint thinner here.

431

00:23:31,620 --> 00:23:34,110

I'm just going to put on some little dams.

432

00:23:34,140 --> 00:23:36,210

It's too cold for there

to be any leaves on here.

433

00:23:37,800 --> 00:23:39,930

They went, they went to

Florida for the winter.

434

00:23:40,980 --> 00:23:42,180

Now it leaves don't go to Florida.

435

00:23:42,180 --> 00:23:43,230

They just fall off the tree.

436

00:23:43,230 --> 00:23:45,240

I know somebody would write

and tell me they'd not there.

437

00:23:47,120 --> 00:23:47,390

Hmm.

438

00:23:48,380 --> 00:23:49,070

There we go.

439

00:23:50,510 --> 00:23:53,420

And where you want them to be anywhere?

440

00:23:55,220 --> 00:23:56,330

Just paint thinner.

441

00:23:59,610 --> 00:24:03,030

And off you go there.

442

00:24:03,180 --> 00:24:06,110

See, and don't worry

about what's behind it.

443

00:24:06,440 --> 00:24:09,320

When you, when you're

painting, just paint.

444

00:24:09,390 --> 00:24:10,160

Don't worry about it.

445

00:24:11,120 --> 00:24:11,480

Nature.

446

00:24:11,480 --> 00:24:12,050

Doesn't worry.

447

00:24:12,230 --> 00:24:12,890

You don't worry.

448

00:24:15,560 --> 00:24:16,070

Okay.

449

00:24:16,080 --> 00:24:17,330

Few more, little limbs here.

450

00:24:18,590 --> 00:24:19,040

Shoot.

451

00:24:19,040 --> 00:24:20,780

I think we're about, about to the point.

452

00:24:20,790 --> 00:24:23,690

We've got this rascal looking pretty good.

453

00:24:26,655 --> 00:24:30,254

Maybe, maybe there's a little

stick right into Hannah.

454

00:24:33,225 --> 00:24:34,695

Maybe let's go right over in here.

455

00:24:35,325 --> 00:24:38,955

Maybe over in here, we can put

the indication of just a few

456

00:24:38,955 --> 00:24:41,715

little twigs and sticks and

things that are living everywhere.

457

00:24:43,305 --> 00:24:46,695

Something about like it shoot.

458

00:24:46,695 --> 00:24:48,495

I think with that, we've done

have a finished painting.

459

00:24:48,495 --> 00:24:49,365

Let's take a little bread.

460

00:24:50,625 --> 00:24:51,855

And we'll sign this rascal.

461

00:24:52,334 --> 00:24:53,955

I really hope you've enjoyed

this little painting.

462

00:24:53,955 --> 00:24:54,735

I hope you'll try it.

463

00:24:56,054 --> 00:24:58,725

It'll give you a lot of

experience using the equipment.

464

00:24:59,655 --> 00:25:03,554

And with experience comes

confidence with confidence.

465

00:25:03,794 --> 00:25:07,544

You know, you can do anything

that you believe you can do for

466

00:25:07,554 --> 00:25:09,044

all of us here until next time.

467

00:25:09,105 --> 00:25:11,294

I'd like to wish you happy painting it.

468

00:25:11,294 --> 00:25:12,344

God blessed my friends.
